Sintesi Labs Design developed a foldable adapter for an Italian optical specialist, intended for the flexible use of medical loupes.
The project's main objective was to develop and virtually test various mechanical solutions for quickly and precisely adjusting the magnifying glasses. Ergonomics, weight and aesthetics also had to be considered.
To ensure that the precisely defined optical and ergonomic requirements were always maintained during development, the specifications were incorporated into a mechanically constrained SolidWorks assembly.
This dynamic assembly allowed for the optimal alignment of thread lengths, hinge mechanisms, and optical focal length, resulting in a very lightweight and highly functional product.
