Hygiene packaging

We assisted Tatic Design Studio in the development of design concepts for cosmetic bottles by creating 3D data.

Several different design concepts were first to be verified internally using renderings and then validated by the client.

The technical challenge in this project lay particularly in the precise modeling of elaborate surface structures and their adaptability within the design process. The transfer of selected designs into a parametric CAD system had to be carried out in a second step.

3D modeling for visualization

To quickly generate iterations of render-ready 3D geometries, we first used Rhinoceros and its Grasshopper 3D feature, which is based on generative algorithms.

Sketches and preliminary proportion studies served as the basis for the Rhinoceros NURBS geometry.

Implementation as a parametric model

To ensure flexibility in applying and adapting the texture on the packaging during the implementation phase, we opted for a parametric design using SolidWorks.
Another key factor in selecting the CAD system was the ability to transfer data natively with the manufacturer, allowing for seamless integration of the existing closure system.
