Public space installation

For Munich Creative Business Week, Sintesi Labs Design created an installation for a public space that featured sensor-based electrification, lighting elements, and an innovative electronic illuminated signage system.

To ensure precise component and cabling planning, as well as evaluation of the structure, a complete digital representation of the project including all components had to be created.

Assembly development

Even during the refinement phase of the design, we reproduced the entire project as an assembly in SolidWorks. The advantage of this approach is that all involved teams can access the current project status with precision at any time. In particular, when changes are made, any mechanical or component conflicts become immediately apparent and can thus be addressed.
In addition, the assembly allowed for the precise planning of the installation’s cabling, which spans a total length of more than 1,000 meters.

The assembly, with its numerous subassemblies and configurations, enabled the creation of precise design and assembly drawings. It also provided a constantly updated bill of materials, listing over 90 components, which was dependent on the configuration.
This enabled immediate oversight of component sourcing for the installation, consisting of over 2,000 parts.
